General Description:
After I create a CORE Generator (.xaw) or Architecture Wizard (.xco) Core using Project -> New source, the ".xaw" or ".xco" file does not show up in "Sources in Project."

If I check the project directory, I can see that the new source and the supporting files were created successfully.

In the New Source dialog window, the "Add to project" check box is properly enabled.

Solution

7.1i Service Pack 1 fails to automatically add newly created cores to a project, even when the "Add to project" check box is properly enabled.

To work around this issue, manually add the ".xco" or ".xaw" file using the Project -> Add Source... option in Project Navigator.

This problem has been fixed in the latest 7.1i Service Pack available at:
http://support.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jsp
The first service pack containing the fix is 7.1i Service Pack 2.
