When AC-coupled, how much current flows through VTRX?
When Virtex-II Pro MGTs are AC-coupled, ideally there should be no current going into the VTRX supply as you will have DC blocking caps on the line side and CMOS input gates on the receiver side. However, there will be some very small leakage current into the ESD diodes, passgates, and input gates which as a rough estimate should not be more than 10 uA. This is assuming that VTRX is set between 1.6-1.8V as recommended for AC coupling in Table 3.8 of the Virtex-II Pro User's Guide.
