Description

Keywords: binary, attribute, hexadecimal, hex

When using Synplify 8.0, the PMA_SPEED_HEX attribute is set in binary instead of hexadecimal, which causes this error:

"ERROR:LIT:241 - Attribute MCOMMA_32B_VALUE on GT11 instance "/GT11_CUSTOM_INST/GT11" has a hexadecimal value, "10100001101000011010001010100010", which is too large. MCOMMA_32B_VALUE should contain a maximum of 32 bits."

Solution

This is a problem with Synplify 8.0 in which hexadecimal types are converted to binary. You can work around this problem by using XST or another version of Synplify.
