When I select several of the Automotive, Rad-Hard, or Military devices in Project preferences, I no longer have the option to select one of the 3rd party synthesis tools.
Many of the disabled device/synthesis tool combinations were available in ISE 7.1i or by using the synthesis tool in standalone mode.
Solution
This issue is fixed in the latest 8.1i Service Pack, available at:
http://www.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jspThe first service pack containing the fix is 8.1i Service Pack 1.
