8.1 AccelDSP Synthesis Tool - What does the java.lang.IllegalArgumentException warning in the console mean?

Description

What does the java.lang.IllegalArgumentException warning in the console mean?

Solution

If you see the following message in the Tcl Console after the first time you call MATLAB (i.e., following either Verify -floatingpoint or Verify -fixedpoint), you can ignored it:

#java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

# at com.mathworks.util.NativeJava.hWndFromComponent(NativeJava.java:183)

# at sun.awt.windows.WToolkit.eventLoop(Native Method)

# at sun.awt.windows.WToolkit.run(Unknown Source)

# at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

We have only observed this when switching to MATLAB R14 SP3 (7.1), and it only occurs if you have multiple versions of MATLAB. The solution is to remove old versions of MATLAB. The MathWorks is working on a better solution.
