In the Spartan-only version of the PCI 32-bit Core, there are problems with the license checkout process in CORE Generator using 8.2i IP Update 2.
When I target any Spartan device in CORE Generator and select View License Status for the PCI-32 bit core, the following message occurs:
"License Status: Valid License for feature pci32_vx_v3_0 not found. You may use the customization GUI for this core but you will not be able to generate any implementation or simulation files."
Additionally, a message reports that the feature that is looked for is pci32_vx_v3_0. The following error occurs:
"Invalid - FlexLm Error - No such feature exists."
Although the View Status for the PCI 32-bit Spartan only license states that it is invalid, you should still be able to generate the core if you have a valid PCI 32-bit Core Spartan-only license. If you try to generate the core and a warning appears indicating that the license is not valid or you receive an error during generation, you might need to regenerate your license. The error printed to the CORE Generator console is as follows:
Welcome to Xilinx CORE Generator.
Opened project file D:/Xprog3/coregen3/coregen3.cgp.
ERROR:coreutil - Failure to generate output products ERROR:coreutil - An error occurred while running Java. Please examine the console or coregen log file for a specific IP related error.
If there is no specific error the problem may be due to memory limitations. For more information please consult solution record 21955 available from:
ERROR:sim:57 - Error found during generation
Older pci32_sp_v3_0 licenses do not allow you to generate the core. To obtain a new license, visit the PCI32 Spartan lounge located at:
