ModelSim Xilinx Edition (MXE) - "Error: (vsim-13) Recompile c:\Modeltech_xe_starter\win32xoem/../xilinx/vhdl/xilinxcorelib because ./xilinx/vhdl/unisim.vcomponents has changed."

After I updated the ModelSim libraries, the following error occurs if I load a design, including Xilinx cores, in ModelSim XE:

"Error: (vsim-13) Recompile c:\Modeltech_xe_starter\win32xoem/../xilinx/vhdl/xilinxcorelib/<core_name> because c:\Modeltech_xe_starter\../xilinx/vhdl/unisim.vcomponents has changed."

This problem can be fixed by finding the "xilinxcorelib" library and right-clicking that library from the left-side window (library pane). When right-clicking the selected library, you will find that one of the options is to Refresh.

Click the Refresh option. This should start to refresh the library, and this error should not occur.

NOTE: You will need write permission to the folder where this library resides; otherwise, the refresh will error out, stating that it could not write to the library.
