The design appears to restart while I am debugging on MicroBlaze, when Dcache is turned ON.

Solution

Use either of the following to work around this issue:
- Use h/w break points instead of s/w breakpoints
- Disable Dcache while debugging.

This problem has been fixed in the latest EDK 8.2i Service Pack, available at:
http://www.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jsp
The first service pack containing the fix is EDK 8.2i Service Pack 1.
