Solution

The reference designs for the MPMC2 have been developed using the default of a parallel-IV cable for communication to the board. The instruction to use the parallel cable is in the "xmd.ini" file in the root directory of the project.

To work around this issue, open the "xmd.ini" file in a text editor and delete the text "-cable type xilinx_parallel port LPT1."

This issue has been fixed in version 1.7 of the MPMC2 release.
