OPB SGDMA SelfTest will fail (infinite wait) if the OPB peripheral template is generated with Posted Write mode disabled (using Acknowledged Write instead).

The master_attachment module will not proceed on DMA reads when posted write is turned off.

Disable the "Disable posted write behavior for normal acknowledged write behavior" radio button when DMA is enabled by user.

Solution

This problem has been fixed in the latest EDK 8.2i Service Pack, available at:
http://www.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jsp
The first service pack containing the fix is EDK 8.2i Service Pack 1.
