When I choose line rates above 4 Gb/s, RocketIO Wizard displays the following error:

"ERROR:sim - Line Rate/Data Width exceeds recommended fabric rate
ERROR:sim:228 - An invalid core configuration has been detected during Customization. Core parameters will be reset to their default values."

Solution

This problem occurs with the Virtex-4 RocketIO Wizard v1.1. This Answer Record contains a patch for v1.1 of the Wizard.

To install the patch, perform the following:
1. Download the file from:
ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/applications/misc/rio_wiz_1_1_patch.zip
2. Copy the file to the "%Xilinx%" directory
3. Unzip the file (click "Yes" if asked to overwrite the files)
