AR# 23800 8.2i ISE - Project Navigator Assign Package Pins process does not access the "Part" specification in a CPLD/EDIF project

The Assign Package Pins process should open PACE with the Device and Package information for the ISE project. However, when I use a CPLD device family and set the Top-level Source Type to EDIF, PACE opens and requests the part and package information.

This problem has been fixed in the latest 8.2i Service Pack available at:
http://www.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jsp
The first service pack containing the fix is 8.2i Service Pack 2.
