After installing the 8.2 IP#2 LXT supplement (ise_82i_ip_update2_lxt_sup.zip), the Virtex-4 RocketIO Wizard is either unavailable or only v1.1 is available.

Solution

An error in the IP#2 LXT supplement install can cause the Virtex-4 RocketIO Wizard v1.2 to not appear in the IP list in CORE Generator. Xilinx has fixed this issue and re-released the 8.2 IP#2 LXT supplement. The corrected installer is named "ise_82i_ip_update2_lxt_sup_1.zip" and is available from the Download Center at:
http://www.xilinx.com/xlnx/xil_sw_updates_home.jsp

Please note that the RocketIO Wizard v1.2 Mandatory Tactical Patch (Xilinx Answer 24077) must be installed over the LXT supplement.
