9.1i ISE - Generating an IP Core through Project Navigator's New Source Wizard puts the projects implementation status out of date

Keywords: NPW, question, mark, status, tick, check, hierarchy, exclamation

After implementing a design or running any processes on a design, the processes get a status indicator (green check, yellow exclamation mark or red X). If a new IP Core is then created in the project using Project -> New Source, as soon as the new source is created, the completed process goes out-of-date with orange '?' status symbol even if the core is not instantiated beneath the "top level" module.

The status of the design should only be affected if the core is instantiated in the hierarchy of the "top level" module.

To avoid this issue, IP cores can be created by opening CORE Generator stand alone and generating the core outside of Project Navigator.

This issue has been fixed in ISE 9.2i.
