9.2i Timing Analyzer - ERROR: TRACE output file "xrefdes.twr" not found!

Description

When I open the Post-Place & Route Static Timing report in ISE, the process claims to be successful, but there is no "twr" file generated. 

Started : "Generate Post-Place & Route Static Timing". 

PMSPEC -- Overriding Xilinx file <C:/xilinx/qvirtex2/data/qvirtex2.acd> 

with local file <C:/xilinx/qvirtex2/data/qvirtex2.acd> 

Loading device for application Rf_Device from file '2v6000.nph' in environment

"xrefdes" is an NCD, version 3.2, device xq2v6000, package mf957, speed -4i

ERROR: TRACE output file "xrefdes.twr" not found ! 

Please check if this file is available in the project directory and re-run the process.

When is this going to be fixed?

Solution

The work-around is to change the device into a Industrial parts, use the TEMPERATURE constraint, and set it to 100. 

This problem has been fixed in the latest 9.2i Service Pack available at:

The first service pack containing the fix is 9.2i Service Pack 4.
