LogiCORE v1.0 Cascaded Integrator Comb Compiler (CIC Compiler) - Why can I select to use DSP48s when my target device does not have any?

Description

When I open the parameterization dialog for the CIC Compiler, there is an option to use DSP48 slices, but my target device does not contain any DSP48 slices.

Solution

This is a known issue with the CIC Compiler GUI. If DSP48 slices are specified for generation in a CORE Generator project which is targeting a device that does not contain any DSP48 slices, this option will be ignored and the CIC Compiler will be generated using the available fabric primitives.

This will be resolved in a future CIC Compiler release.
