LogiCORE v1.0 Cascaded Integrator Comb Compiler (CIC Compiler) - What do the fields in the Frequency Response Analysis Options in the GUI affect?

On page 2 of the CIC Compiler GUI, there is a section titled "Frequency Response Analysis Options" with the fields "Passband Range" and "Stopband Range". What does changing these values affect?

These fields do not affect the behavior of the resulting filter. These fields are used to obtain magnitude details of different ranges in the normalized sampling frequency range shown in the frequency plot.

The minimum and maximum magnitude over the specified range is shown below the frequency plot in the GUI under the headings "Passband Configuration" and "Stopband Configuration".
