AR# 30102 9.2i iMPACT - Spartan-3A DSP Starter Kit board, indirect BPI operations error

Using iMPACT 9.2i to perform indirect BPI operations (Erase, Program, Verify) with Spartan-3A DSP Starter Kit board produces the following error:

"Populating BPI CFI ...
ERROR:iMPACT - Failed to query configuration file information.
PROGRESS_END - End Operation.
Elapsed time = 3 sec."



Solution

This issue applies only to the Spartan-3A DSP Starter Kit board and is a known issue with the Spartan-3A DSP COR file from the ISE 9.2i installation directory. Please open a WebCase with Xilinx Technical Support for a work-around:

A fix for this problem is scheduled in ISE 10.1.
