When I select the "Automatically Generate PROM or ACE File" options in the "Generate PROM, ACE, or JTAG File properties window," I get an error message:
"ERROR:Bitstream:99 - Prom size <size> is greater than the maximum size of 1048576K"
With some versions, these errors may be received instead:
For the TEK format:
"ERROR:iMPACT:1346 - Selected prom size exceeds the maximum size of 64k Bytes for TEK PROM file format."
For the EXO format:
"ERROR:iMPACT:1345 - Selected prom size exceeds the maximum size of 16384k Bytes for EXO PROM file format."
To work around this problem, do not use the "Automatically Generate PROM or ACE File" option. You can still link the iMPACT project so that all of the PROMGen properties are stored, but you will need to open iMPACT through ISE to run PROMGen successfully.
Alternatively, you can run iMPACT standalone.
