Description

Keywords: DIRT, Route, ISE, MAP, Pack, ISE, Partition

When I use a Directed Routing constraint that crosses a partition boundary, the following error occurs in MAP:

"FATAL_ERROR:Pack:pkibatranslate.c:3286:1.103.4.3 - Exception:
Xdm_Exception::DuplicateObjectFound object='ROUTE' (XDM_PROPERTY_STRING),
parent='/xxx' (XDM_NETWORK) .
Process will terminate. For more information on this error, please consult
the Answers Database or open a WebCase with this project attached at
http://www.xilinx.com/support."

Why does this error occur and how can I resolve it?

Solution

Directed Routing constraints that cross the partition boundary are not supported.

To avoid this issue, place all the associated components to the Directed Routing constraint in the same partition.
