11.4 CORE Generator - "Warning:Unable to determine Resource Utilization information" for PCI Express Core
Description
When I attempt to view the Resource Utilization Information of PCI Express Core generated in CORE Generator, the following warning occurs:
"Warning:Unable to determine Resource Utilization Information."
How can I resolve this issue?
Solution
This warning message is caused by a failure of the underlying resource utilization process and should actually be considered as an error, since the process fails.
To determine the resource utilization of a PCI Express core when the CORE Generator Resource Utilization process fails, run the netlist through the ISE implementation tools and view either the MAP or PAR report.
