Description

Keywords: SysGen, gcc.exe, MATLAB

When I try to open the parameters for any System Generator blocks, or simulate a design on Windows Vista, the following error occurs:

"gcc.exe: installation problem, cannot exec `cc1': No such file or directory. Error occurred during "Simulation Initialization"

Solution

These error messages occur because the Windows Vista operating system is not supported by System Generator 11.2 and older.

Windows Vista is supported as of the 11.3 release. You must first install the 11.1 tools and then update to 11.3 to run System Generator on a Vista Operating System.

For compatible operating systems, ISE, and MATLAB versions, see (Xilinx Answer 17966).
