When Base System Builder is used to configure the ML507 board with the following selections:
1. Processor: PPC440
2. Memory controller: MPMC (the default memory controller is PPC440MC_DDR2)
3. Other IP: PCIe (BSB automatically instantiates xps_central_dma in the system)
4. Linker Script for TestApp_Peripheral: DDR2 memory is chosen for the data section
TestApp_Peripheral fails on xps_central_dma.
The work-around is to not change the default TestApp_Peripheral linker script selection, which is SRAM.
This problem has been fixed in the latest 10.1 Service Pack available at:
http://www.xilinx.com/support/download/
The first service pack containing the fix is 10.1 Service Pack 3.
