Solution
The USB EEPROM on the ML40x, ML50x and ML605 boards can be reprogrammed to default factory settings using the following steps:
1. Download and install the USB tools from the Cypress website. These are in the form of the CY3663 - EZ-OTG / EZ-Host Development Kit, found at:
http://www.cypress.com/design/SD1025
Registration on the Cypress site is required.
2. Download the following files from the ML40x Web pages (in the reference design sections):
http://www.xilinx.com/products/boards/ml401/files/ml40x_usb.zip
This ZIP file contains all USB sources.
3. Connect the USB cable to your board.
For the ML605 this requires connecting a USB type A to mini-B cable between your PCs USB port and the USB port on the ML605, near the power connector:
Connect the power adapter for your board and power on the board.
4. Run the following in a DOS window:
C:\Cypress\USB\OTG-Host\tools\utilities\qtui2c.exe [location of USB files]/eeprom.bin f
