11.1 PlanAhead - What does the "Total Heap Size" in the right bottom corner mean?

Keywords: Java, memory, consumption, gauge

PlanAhead shows the "Total Heap Size" in the right bottom corner. It is about 5M/7M at startup. But the java.exe in Task Manager (Windows) or top (Linux) occupies about 80M.

The "Total Heap Size" means the Java Memory Consumption Gauge. It shows the amount of memory that just the Java code is using. The Java code also calls C code in the background, and the memory used by the C code is included in top/Task Manager.
