When I generate my ChipScope Cores using CORE Generator or add them using ChipScope inserter, the following error occurs:

"ChipScope ERROR: sim - DoQuickCopy : Could not execute xlicmgr.exe"

How do I work around this issue?

Solution

This issue is related to problems with a network drive installation on a Linux based samba mount.

The problem has been fixed in the latest ChipScope Pro and ISE 10.1 Service Pack available at:
http://www.xilinx.com/support/download/
The first service pack containing the fix is 10.1 Service Pack 3.
