Platform Cable USB, 10.1 iMPACT - "ERROR:iMPACT:2243 - A reference voltage has not been detected on the ribbon cable..." occurs in iMPACT when initializing chain

When iMPACT tries to initialize chain with Platform Cable USB, the following error occurs:

"ERROR:iMPACT:2243 - A reference voltage has not been detected on the ribbon cable interface to the target system ( pin 2 ). Check that power is applied to the target system and that the ribbon cable is properly seated at both ends. The status LED on Parallel Cable IV will be GREEN if target voltage is in the proper range and applied to the correct pin."

I have my programming cable attached, and the LED is green. What is the issue?

This can occur if there is also a Parallel programming cable attached. iMPACT will interrogate the Parallel (LPT) ports first. If it detects a cable on one of those, this error might appear for that cable.
