When I run Advanced Analysis, the report states that my design can run very fast. When I try to constrain my design with these very fast limitations, I receive errors stating that I have Component Switching Limit errors. Why does Advanced Analysis say that my design can run at certain speeds when it really cannot?

Solution

When Advanced Analysis is run, Component Switching Limit checks are not performed. Component Switching Limit checks cannot be performed because there are not any constraints in the design to check against. Once the constraints are entered, then Component Switching Limits can be checked.
