I am installing an update for the Xilinx ISE tools (service pack, device update, or IP update). The installation consistently fails between 10% and 99% with the message "an error was detected in the archive."
This solution is only a good match if you are using Local XilinxUpdate.
This can occur if the cached version of the updater's files becomes corrupt. Please delete the directory <XILINX_INSTALL_PATH>\ISE\.xinstall\.cache and then run the updater again.
