Why is the System Generator blockset empty when I try to open it in Simulink when running on Linux? Why do I receive an error on Linux that I do not have enough file handles to open a System Generator file?

Solution

This can occur if the file handle limit is set too low to launch the blocksets in Simulink.

To increase this, you can use the UNIX command ulimit, for example, "ulimit -n 1024" or "ulimit -n unlimited".
