AR# 32228 10.1, 11.1, 11.2 ChipScope - "Error-[URMI] Instances with unresolved modules remain in the design"

When I attempt to simulate my design containing a ChipScope Pro ATC2 Core, the following error occurs:

"Error-[URMI] Instances with unresolved modules remain in the design. Invalid instantiation at: "<path>/atc2.v ", 4910: OPAD \U0/G_DATAPADS[17]. ..."

Solution

The ATC2 Core is not supported for simulation (this is stated in the Data Sheet). Simulation fails because there is no model in the UniSims library for the OPAD which is included in the netlist. The ATC2 Core should be simulated as a Black Box. This issue is scheduled to be resolved in the 11.2 release where CORE Generator will not generate the wrapper file for functional simulation.
