When stepping passed mfmsr and mtmsr commands, in either the PowerPC 405 or 440, the MSR value is incorrect.

Is there a work-around for this problem?

Solution

This is a known issue with XMD that will be fixed in a future release.

The only work-around is to not single-step passed these instructions, but rather, jump out of the block of code that contains these instructions.

This problem has been fixed in EDK 11.2, available at:
