When I use the FPGA Editor to detect my ChipScope cores, the tool crashes with a segmentation fault.

How do I work around this error?

Solution

Make sure that you have the following Synthesis and Implementation options set:

XST
Keep hierarchy: No
Read Cores: No

NGDBuild
Remove the -insert_keep_hierarchy option

MAP
Pack Register: Off
