Generation fails for my IBERT design and the following error message occurs in the Map report:

"ERROR:sim - Error: map failed on chipscope_ibert. ERROR:Pack:1107 - Unable to combine the following symbols into a single IOBError found during generation."

How do I work around this issue?

Solution

This error occurs when you choose an incorrect pin location for the REFCLK input.

To work around this issue, make sure you choose a valid I/O site and rerun your IBERT generation with the valid pin specified.
