Solution

NOTES:
- To ensure that ISE Design Suite functions properly, it is essential that all 11.2 updates are applied together. Download and install all 11.2 updates for Xilinx software on your computer prior to launching any ISE Design Suite 11.2 software.
- Select the "common" folder within the root directory of your ISE Design Suite 11 directory as the destination directory.
- This update is required if SDK, ChipScope, Standalone Programming Tools is updated to 11.2 using the Standalone Tools updates. The individual application updates are not complete until this update is also installed.

Installation Instructions

Windows Users

1. Download "11.2 ISE Design Suite Shared Components (all platforms)" from http://license.xilinx.com/getLicense?group=esd_oms&tab=DownloadUpdates
2. Extract the zip. For more information about tar files see (Xilinx Answer 32818)
3. Open the untarred archive and run "xsetup.exe" by double-clicking on it

Installation Instructions for Linux Users

1. Download "Xilinx_11.2_ISE_DS_lin(64).tar" from http://license.xilinx.com/getLicense?group=esd_oms&tab=DownloadUpdates
2. Extract the zip. For more information about tar files see (Xilinx Answer 32818)
3. Open the untarred archive and run "xsetup" by typing ./xsetup to a terminal

NOTE: Web XilinxUpdate can also be used to download and install ISE Updates by typing xilinxupdate into a terminal/command prompt or through ISE -> Help -> XilinxUpdate
