If I leave the Platform Cable USB open for a long period, I see a memory leak.

What is causing this problem?

Solution

This issue only occurs if you use the alibis driver, and will be resolved in ISE IDS 11.3.

Care should be taken when using ChipScope and XMD which are often used with the cable connected for days or hours. To end the problem, disconnect the cable and close the offending application.
