11 EDK - Why does SDK issue warnings about powerpc-eabi-gcc compiler being used in my MicroBlaze design?

When building my software project in SDK, I receive warnings similar to the following:

Potential conflict of compiler tools being used to build
Software Platform Project [mb_probing_master_sw_platform]
and Application Project [test].
This can cause invalid binaries to be built.

Compiler tool used to build [mb_probing_master_sw_platform] is [powerpc-eabi-gcc].
Compiler tool used to build [test] is [mb-gcc].

Solution

The warning messages are incorrect, and the correct compiler is being used.

This problem has been fixed in EDK 11.3, available at:
