The Evaluation timer for the Soft TEMAC core does not get disabled even though a Full License for the core has been purchased. The Evaluation timer will time out in approximately 6-8 hours and the Soft TEMAC will stop functioning.
There are 2 options to resolve this issue.
1. Upgrade to 11.2 and use the xps_ll_temac_v2_02_a patch provided in (Xilinx Answer 33014). This patch has a version of the core that will not time out when used with a Full License. Please refer to the change log for other modifications in the core.
2. If an upgrade to 11.2 is not desired, then the patch included with this solution can be used.
a. Download the archive from our FTP site at http://www.xilinx.com/txpatches/pub/applications/misc/ar33013_200a.zip
b. Extract it to a temporary folder.
c. Copy the xps_ll_temac_v2_00_a pcore from the installed EDK pcore directory ($XILINX_EDK\hw\XilinxProcessorIPLib\pcores\) to the local pcore directory.
d. Replace the xps_ll_temac_v2_00_a\data\xps_ll_temac_v2_1_0.mpd file with the file in the archive.
e. Clean all generated files and re-build the project.
This issue will be fixed in EDK 11.3, which will be available later this year.
