The license server utilities are installed in the $XILINX\bin\<os_dir> as part of an 11 ISE software installation. However, I would like to enable the Xilinx license(s) on a server that does not (or, for Solaris OS, cannot) have an ISE Design Suite installed. Where can I obtain the license server utilities?
Solution
The License Server Utilities (lmgrd, lmutil, and xilinxd) can be downloaded by a licensing administrator from the Xilinx Product Download and Licensing Web site:1. Go to:
http://www.xilinx.com/getproduct,
(Login and select Next.)
2. From the Download Software tab, select License Server Utilities (under Download Individual Files).
3. Click on the Download arrow next to the desired Linux, Solaris, or Windows License Management tools.
NOTE: If you are not a Xilinx license account administrator for your company, you will not have access to the license utilities as described above. If a Xilinx license account administrator from your company is not available, or is unable to download the license utilities, please open a WebCase with Xilinx Technical Support:
