AR# 33129 11.2 EDK - ERROR:Bitgen:38 - Unknown command line option "M1Pin"

When I use 11.2 BSB to create a design on Spartan-3A/-3AN Starter Kit and run generate bitstream, XPS reports the following error during BitGen:

"ERROR:Bitgen:38 - Unknown command line option "M1Pin". Please consult the Development System Reference Guide for the appropriate command-line options.
ERROR:Bitgen:38 - Unknown command line option "M0Pin". Please consult the Development System Reference Guide for the appropriate command-line options.
ERROR:Bitgen:38 - Unknown command line option "M2Pin". Please consult the Development System Reference Guide for the appropriate command-line options."

Solution

After configuration, Spartan-3A/-3AN uses M0/M1/M2 pins as general I/O. To work around the problem, comment out these three options directly in the "bitgen.ut" file.
