11.1 XST - "HDL processing failed with errors" when using partitioned designs

When I run XST with partitioned designs I get the following error: " HDL processing failed with errors". Why?

Solution

This error is issued when there are spaces in the project directory path. Removing spaces in the project directory path will fix this error.
