When I run a Base System Builder design through EDK, the following error occurs for one of my cores:

"ERROR:Xst:2647 - Failed to run core generator for ...."

Solution

This is a problem with Java Virtual Machine's ability to allocate enough memory. For more information, please see (Xilinx Answer 20780).
