If Synplify or Synplify Pro is set as the synthesis tool, selecting "View Synthesis Report" will fail if the synthesis process fails.
The failed Synthesis process will be marked with a "red" X.
However, at this point, if you double-click on "View Synthesis Report", Project Navigator begins the synthesis process again, and again fails to shows the report after running Synplify/ PRO again.
Solution
The Synplify report (.srr) has been successfully created and can be opened manually with a text editor.This issue has been resolved in the ISE 11.2 update.
