11.2 EDK, MPMC v5.02.a - VFBC cannot be set to read-only or write-only mode in the Spartan-6 MPMC GUI

Description

When I use the MPMC VFBC interface with Spartan-6 FPGA, VFBC cannot be set as read-only or write only. The Advanced -> Data Path Configuration tab of the MPMC GUI is greyed-out.

How do I change these settings?

Solution

This issue is fixed starting with MPMC v5.04.a, released in EDK 11.4.

Note that while the VFBC can be configured as bidirectional, read-only, or write-only, the VFBC will still consume a bidirectional MCB port in Spartan-6 FPGA.
