Using Block Memory Generator v3.3, the core does not correctly optimize the resources used when the low power algorithm is selected for Spartan-6 devices, and this can reduce performance.

Solution

For maximum speed and minimum use of resources, do not use the Low Power algorithm.

This issue is scheduled to be resolved in the ISE Design Suite 12.1 release.
