Can I still use the -3 speed grade for the PCIe core generation for the Spartan-6 FPGA xc6slx45t part that is on the SP605 board?

Solution

To target the xc6slx45t-3 part, perform the following:

1. Select the -2 speed grade in the CORE Generator software.
2. Open the automatically created xilinx_pcie_1_lane_ep_xc6slx45t-fgg484-2.ucf and change the CONFIG_PART constraint to xc6slx45t-fgg-3

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in the CORE Generator software version 12.1.
