When I attempt to invoke the ChipScope inserter from the ISE design tool GUI it fails to launch, and the following message appears:
"Open source failed. The Tcl edit hook did not run properly. See the transcript window for details"
The transcript window displays:
ERROR:ProjectMgmt:387 - TOE: ITclInterp::ExecuteCmd gave Tcl result 'can't read "lOutputFileList": no such variable'.
Tcl_ErrnoId: ENOENT
Tcl_ErrnoMsg: no such file or directory

How do I work around this issue?
Solution
This issue can be related to the working directory used for the ISE design tools project; if this is a different directory than the project directory, the error occurs.To work around this issue, set your Project and Working directories to the same directory.
