12.2 RTL/Technology Viewer - "ERROR: Sed_PaSchematicEditor::AddPinToSignal" written to Linux terminal when pushing into schematic

Description

After creating and opening an RTL view or Technology View of a design, when pushing into a block, error messages similar to the following are written to the terminal shell that Project Navigator was launched from.

ERROR: Sed_PaSchematicEditor::AddPinToSignal -- pin 'Mxor_n04891.Data(7:0)' already belongs to a signal 'test1(4:0)'; cannot add pin to signal 'test2(7:5)'

ERROR: Sed_PaSchematicEditor::AddPinToSignal -- pin 'Mxor_n02394.Data(7:0)' already belongs to a signal 'test1(4:0)'; cannot add pin to signal 'test(7:5)'
...

Solution

These are internal messages that the RTL/Technology viewer is using to determine how to display a net. In the example above, portions of a data bus pin (Data(7:0)) are being driven by test1(4:0) and other portions of the bus are being driven by test2(7:5). In the display, the bus structure cannot be combined due to having multiple drivers.

The error messages are meant to be internal only and should not be written out to the terminal window. The display should be correct and the messages can be ignored.

This issue is resolved in ISE Design Suite 12.3.
