Endpoint Block Plus Wrapper v1.13 for PCI Express - How to generate an NGC from the source files

The v1.12 and newer releases of the Block Plus Wrapper for PCI Express include source code instead of an NGC file. This might break your implementation flow if you were only using the NGC from a previous version of this core.

This Answer Record details how to generate an NGC from the source files.

The supporting files for this flow can be found at the following FTP link:
  1. Download the Perl script and save it to the < core name >/implementation directory.
  2. To run the Perl script, open a command prompt and cd to the directory that you saved it to.
  3. Type the following command:
    xilperl generate_ngc.pl
  4. The Perl script prompts you with several questions so that the correct files are generated.
After answering the questions, a < core name >.ngc file is generated.
