Description

Some versions of the Virtex-6 FPGA GTX Transceiver Wizard allow the user to generate wrappers for line rates that are below the range supported by production devices. This Answer Record describes how to identify and correct those designs.

Solution

The lowest line rate supported by the Virtex-6 FPGA GTX with oversampling is 480 Mb/s.The /2 and /4 output dividers that can be used when not using oversampling cannot be used with oversampling.If a line rate below the supported rate is required, implementations similar toone of the following Application Notes might be helpful:
